music that moves you 2008

Our Ice Show This Year (2008)Was:

“MUSIC THAT MOVES YOU”

The annual ice show is a big part of the CSCS program, as it gives the skaters an opportunity to perform in front of family and friends, as well as the community that supports the program year round.   It also gives them experience in performing for a large audience in a theatrical type atmosphere, a must for any competitive skater.  The show is directed by Scott Rachuk and choreographed by Alison Purkiss.

This year’s show was called “Music That Moves You”.  It was a tremendous display of acrobatics, jumping, spinning and lifting, all choreographed to various dance music and styles.  It was a non- stop, action packed two hour performance.

“Music That Moves You” was the fourth show in the history of the school and featured the many talents of all of our skaters as well as alumni from previous years.  It also included the talents of 9 skaters who competed at the 2008 Canadian Championships, 3 members of Canada’s National Team, plus a former alumnus who is now a touring professional skater!

We enjoyed performing for you and would love to do it again in 2009! Come out next year and enjoy the best ice show in Southwestern Ontario!

We thank you for your support and encourage you to check back often for news, times and updates for next year!
